In a dialog between Spanish art-music and the ancient flamenco (‘barbers’) playing, school of Maestro Patiño, this three-part concert shapes the various guitar representations around the 1920s at the times of Manuel de Falla and Federico Garcia Lorca. Yiannis Efstathopoulos invites and collaborates with Spanish lute legend Javier Mas and distinguished Spanish guitarist and composer Mario Mas with their project “A los toques barberos”, presenting a unique and historical Spanish program with bandurria, Spanish lute, archilute and original period guitars strung in gut and silk.
